22 Weeks!

Here we are at 22 weeks. We've been feeling a lot of strong kicks and I have been feeling some stiffness. I feel like I can't get out of the truck as easy, and getting up from sitting or laying has become a little more difficult too. Oh well.. Dave says that if I'm like this now, he can't wait to see how it is closer to the end, and I have to say, I can't either!!!! :)

Bed Skirt!

This is the bed skirt, or dust ruffle, for the crib that I made. The top layer is tan with white polka dots, the bottom layer is green with a little sparkle, and the corners are a pink flower pattern. It took a long time, and I ran into a lot of problems, but we think it looks great! :)

Nursery!!

Here are two pictures of the curtains that I made. We love them!! I am now working on the dust ruffle for the crib. :)

21 Weeks

We made it to 21 weeks!! We've been working on the nursery and just got a crib from Mr. and Mrs. Oblas. Since we know that we are having a girl we decided that we want just a little bit of pink. So we went looking for some bedding, but couldn't find anything that we liked in our price range. Dave suggested, since I'm such an excellent sewer, that I make the stuff. So we went to Joann's fabric store and choose some fabric. I'm going to make a hanging quilt, curtains, a pillow or two, the dust ruffle, and I'm going to decorate a lamp shade... with my grandma and moms help of course! It's going to look great! Can't wait! :)

20 Weeks Down, 20 More to go!

In the last week a lot has happened! On Friday night Dave felt the baby kick for the first time which was really exciting. Today we found out that the doctors are 95% sure we will be having a daughter! :) We can't wait. I was really surprised because we both thought we'd have a boy. We are both thrilled to have a little girl enter our lives and can't wait to meet her.

Our daughters name will be Emily Marie Oblas. I've always loved the name Emily, it is the name I've wanted for my daughter since I was a little girl. Marie is the middle name of me, my mom, my grandmother, and my great grandmother.

Our only request is please limit the number of pink outfits! :)
