Second Month

Oh Emily! She has grown so much! I can't believe it was only two months ago that we brought her home. She actually fits in her swing and car seat now. She smiles back at us and we are just waiting for her to start to giggle! Can't wait!! Every time Dave changes her he blows on her belly hoping that she will giggle... still no luck!
Man can she move! She kicks her legs and moves her arms a lot, sometimes she does it so hard that she actually moves herself. Tummy time is always fun.. for us. She is not a fan, but we do it anyway. She lasts about 2 minutes before she gets sick of it and starts to cry. She can really push herself up! When she is on her tummy, on us or on the floor, she pushes herself up. She sort of looks like a turtle because her neck is so skinny!
She does not sleep through the night.. yet.. and we can't wait until she does. She will sleep from 12am-5am and then she wakes up every 2-3 hours after that.
We had her two month Dr. apt where she got 5 shots and had to take something orally. That was really hard, she screamed like I've never heard her scream before. They did three on the right leg and then three on the left leg. After they were done we picked her up and tried to calm her down. She was very VERY upset. After she calmed down we put her back on the table to get her dressed. All of a sudden she started to scream because she thought that she was going to get the shots again!! It was really hard, for both of us. I am glad it is over and am not looking forward to her 4 month apt.
Emily's first Christmas was fun! She received more gifts than Dave and I combined! She was spoiled!! We had a busy busy day with traveling from Sunbury back to Allentown and opening all the gifts! It was great to see all of our family! After Christmas we had 3 loads of new clothes to wash and had trouble finding a spot for everything!
Emily is growing so much. Everyday she changes and does something new. We can't wait to see what 2010 brings us! :)
