First Week

Well, we made it through the first week! It wasn't bad at all. The worst part was/is waking up in the middle of the night to change and feed. We are lucky because Emily only wakes up about three times a night. It was difficult for me to get out of bed because of my incision. Getting up from sitting or laying was pretty tough.

We were lucky to have my mom stay with us for the first week. She did a lot of the cooking and cleaning that I was unable to do. She made us some pretty good homemade dinners and went out to purchase some of the things that we still needed but did not have. Thanks Mom!! <3

Emily is a silly little girl. She makes the funniest faces and noises. We love watching her sleep because sometimes she smiles! She sleeps most of the time and sometimes she is awake. She recently discovered her hand and likes to suck on it. We like to talk to her and let her see our faces. Dave came up with a nickname for her already, Drooples. I don't know where/how he came up with that, but that's what he calls her.

She is a perfect little girl!!
